The History

African Church Empowerment Ministries (ACEMinistries) is a registered Non - Governmental Organization in Uganda which supports and compliments the development of leadership and organizational abilities of the Ugandan church. ACEM was founded in 2004 by Pastor Michael Okwakol, Pastor of Agape Baptist Church in Kampala and President of the Baptist Union of Uganda. Pastor Okwakol is completing his graduate studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA. Michael perceived that Africa's great spiritual potential is affected by a lack of educated, trained, and equipped leaders and a weak church organization.
